The final colour of coloured concrete is greatly influenced by raw materials that we can not control or guarantee, and that are not colour-controlled such as cement type and source, supplementary pozzolanic materials, naturally variable sands and aggregates plus water content and consistency. Other very influential factors include the finishing methods, the contractor’s skill level & techniques, curing and drying conditions and exposed weather conditions especially if these can vary across long periods, large areas and multiple pours. Always use skilled contractors with decorative concrete experience and if possible view examples of their previous work.

Please keep in mind that with any digital display, printed brochure or even concrete sample that we can not make a single colour swatch to represent that which may be the result in your project due to the variables above.

All Luminous Reflectance Values (LRV) are derived from small laboratory produced coloured concrete samples so any data is provided as a guide. Data determined by following AS1428.1-2009 Appendix B The Measurement of Luminance Contrast Between Building Elements. In service LRV will vary with concrete mix design, raw materials and finishing.
