Pigments for High-Temperature Applications
CathayTherm
CathayTherm™ offers increased heat stability in a range of colours.
These pigments are ideally suited for a wide range of high temperature applications, including plastics, powder coatings, high-bake temperature industrial coatings, coil coatings, specialty coatings and military coatings, where high heat-fastness is required.
The CathayTherm line features excellent dispersion characteristic. As with all inorganic pigments, non-migration makes them suitable for plastics and rubbers.

Mapico
The Mapico® Tan series is most commonly used in plastics. High temperature stability and ease of
dispersion make these pigments suitable for resin systems from LLDPE and vinyl to sophisticated
engineering polymers and silicone rubber compounds. Interactions of pigment and some resins in high-temp plastics compounding can lead to slight colour shifts. Suitability of tan pigments should be verified for specific applications. Exterior durability is improved by the ultraviolet screening properties contributed by these pigments, especially with polymers that are sensitive to sunlight.
The Mapico® Tan series of heat stable pigments are inert, insoluble in organic materials as well as resistant against chemicals, alkali and dilute acids.
Uses: coil coatings, high-bake industrial finishes, roofing granules and plastics.
